Sr. Backend Engineer

A high-growth, performance-driven technology company focused on sleep fitness is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help expand product capabilities and scale its backend systems. The team builds advanced hardware, software, and AI technology to deliver personalized, data-driven sleep experiences to users worldwide.

In this role, you will work on distributed backend systems that power critical business logic and enable communication across embedded, machine learning, mobile, and business intelligence systems. Responsibilities • Maintain and improve large-scale data processing pipelines • Develop tools to ensure availability and automation of 30 microservices • Build and enhance backend services and product features • Design and support distributed systems that impact the end-user experience • Collaborate across engineering teams including mobile, ML, and embedded systems Required Qualifications • 8+ years of software engineering experience • 5+ years of backend engineering or SRE experience • Experience with distribution systems • Strong proficiency in at least two languages such as: • Java (Scala/Kotlin) • C#/.NET (or F#) • Python • Node.js with TypeScript

• Deep understanding of cloud services and system design Preferred Qualifications • Passion for building scalable, high-performance systems • Strong problem-solving and system-level thinking skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment • Interest in understanding how systems work under the hood
