Sr. Business Analyst

Requirements

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Advanced Power BI development, including: Star schema data modeling, DAX measure development, Power Query M transformations, Semantic model design, Performance optimization, Row level security
• Strong SQL skills including joins, window functions, and data validation across large datasets
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis and reporting solutions
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel for analysis and data validation
• Experience working in collaborative analytics environments with multiple stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data analysis roles
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI data modeling and development
• Experience working with multiple enterprise data sources and business domains

Responsibilities

• The Senior Business Analyst will support the design and delivery of the company’s next generation KPI framework and enterprise analytics environment
• Working closely with the Vice President of Business Intelligence and cross-functional leaders, this role helps translate business questions into governed metrics, reusable datasets, and executive-ready Power BI dashboards
• Success in this role means reliable and consistent KPIs, well-structured Power BI semantic models, and analytics products that support decision-making across multiple departments
• The role requires strong collaboration with business leaders, analysts, and technical teams to refine requirements and continuously improve reporting and analytics capabilities
• Collaborate with BI leadership and business stakeholders to define and refine KPI definitions, metric logic, and reporting requirements
• Design and maintain Power BI semantic models and datasets, including star schema modeling, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports used by leadership to monitor business performance
• Source and validate data from MS SQL Server, Cognos, Centage, and other systems or APIs
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and investigation of anomalies
• Document business rules, metric definitions, and data lineage within a shared KPI dictionary
• Partner with leaders across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and other departments to ensure analytics solutions reflect business needs
• Support data governance practices including dataset reuse, row level security, naming conventions, and release management
• Collaborate with other analysts and IT to prepare clean, reliable datasets and support advanced analysis, automation, and future machine learning use cases
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders in clear business terms
