About the role
Role Mandate
As a Business Analyst, the resource will be responsible for gathering business requirements and conducting data mapping of feeds to downstream Finance and Treasury systems.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Elicits requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements, data mapping and support ETL development.
- Provides clarifications and support to project team during design, development and testing phases.
- Applies depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
- Become SME and provide support during various phases of Testing and Post-Production validation.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborates with other team members to establish a healthy working environment.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
- 10+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in the Banking/Wealth Management/Asset Management industry.
- Good understanding of wealth domain concepts such as Trades, Positions, Model Portfolios, Corporation Actions etc.
- Experience with documenting functional and non-functional requirements, conducting source to target data mapping and documenting business rules for ETL development.
- Ability to work with technology stakeholders (Solution Architects, Developers, QA) and business stakeholders.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries to query data for analysis. Exposure to data modeling would be an asset.
- Experience working with QA on triaging defects and performing root cause analysis.
