Job Summary

Dexian is seeking a Sr Business Side (Not IT) Project Manager for an opportunity with a client located in Toronto, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and create comprehensive project plans (charters, Gantt charts, work plans)
  • Identify, analyze, and drive process improvements, root causes of issues, and recommend solutions to increase organizational capability
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, senior leadership, and external partners/customers, providing regular status reports and managing expectations
  • Assemble, motivate, and direct cross‑functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal) to achieve project objectives
  • Proactively identify project roadblocks, risks, and bottlenecks, developing contingency plans to minimize impact
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure optimal allocation of human and physical resources
  • Ensure all project deliverables align with business strategies, quality standards, and compliance procedures (e.g., FDA, ISO, or corporate regulations)
  • Negotiate with and coordinate vendors, suppliers, or consultants

Requirements

  • 5‑10 years of experience in project management, project coordination, or general business management, with a track record of handling complex projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Teams)
  • Strategic thinking, ability to manage ambiguity, high organizational savvy, and a “can‑do” attitude
  • Recent experience as a Business side (Not IT focused) Project Manager
  • Recent experience managing credit card related projects such as TSYS, loyalty programs, rewards on the business side
  • Experience managing multi‑million dollar initiatives
  • Looking at Sr Level candidates
  • 6‑12 month contract which can extend (37.5 hours per week M‑F)
  • Hybrid 2 days per week in downtown Toronto
  • Looking to start ASAP
