About The Role
The Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Technology team is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support its Technology Business Development function. This role will support the Technology Business Development team by providing end‑to‑end business analysis, delivery coordination, vendor onboarding support, and technology evaluation execution. The Sr. BSA translates strategy, partnership objectives, and business needs into clear requirements, documentation, and deliverables that enable successful onboarding, piloting, and scaling of external technology solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills and experience helping bridge business and technology for Investment Banking stakeholders through an understanding of client needs and the broader technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Technology Business Development team to translate strategic objectives into detailed business and functional requirements.
- Research and understand TD’s historical context, existing platforms, prior vendor relationships, and past technology decisions to inform alignment and onboarding efforts.
- Partner with leaders to help map client and vendor needs to the appropriate internal TD teams, including technology, architecture, risk, compliance, legal, and operations.
- Lead analysis and requirements gathering for tooling to manage the Technology Business Development team's historical engagements with companies.
- Drive definition of current‑state and future‑state workflows related to new vendor solutions, pilots, and platform integrations.
- Own preparation of business context, background materials, and briefing documents that enable informed discussions with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Support proof‑of‑concept (POC) and pilot initiatives by coordinating requirements, success criteria, test plans, and user validation activities.
- Assist in vendor due diligence efforts by gathering and organizing materials related to technology capabilities, architecture, data flows, and security considerations.
- Work with internal technology, architecture, risk, compliance, and security partners to support onboarding activities and ensure alignment with TD standards.
- Track onboarding milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items across multiple stakeholders.
- Support end‑to‑end delivery activities for Technology Business Development initiatives, including planning, execution, testing, and transition to steady‑state support.
- Support preparation of events in partnership with TD teams, Private Equity/Venture Capital partners, or external companies.
- Assist with change management activities, including user communications, training materials, and rollout planning.
- Monitor progress against delivery plans and escalate risks or issues to leaders as appropriate.
- Act as a day‑to‑day working liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Support preparation of materials for stakeholder updates, governance forums, and decision checkpoints.
- Ensure consistent communication and documentation across all involved parties.
- Support development and maintenance of program metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track onboarding progress, pilot outcomes, and delivery effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, documentation standards, and execution efficiency.
- Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-8 years relevant experience in business analysis, technology delivery, or related roles.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
- Team focused with a collaborative mindset - ability to work cross-functionally and build strong internal partnerships.
- Knowledge and understanding of investment banking, technology trends, industry best practices, and the intersection between finance and technology.
- Experience and understanding of the Private Equity and Venture Capital landscape and how their ecosystems operate.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing market conditions and business priorities all while still maintaining a high degree of partner satisfaction ("white glove service") and timely execution.
- Experience supporting AI‑enabled solutions in an enterprise environment, including requirements documentation, POCs/pilots, testing, and coordination with architecture, risk, and compliance teams.
- Education or hands‑on exposure to applied AI in enterprise settings (e.g., analytics, automation, generative AI), with understanding of governance, controls, and operationalization.
