Senior Controller

About

We are recruiting for a Senior Controller with a publicly traded fund for a well-known company in Northern Virginia. This individual will oversee corporate accounting, SEC reporting, cash management, and the preparation of quarterly board packages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly/quarterly close processes, general ledger reconciliations, and SOX compliance.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AR/AP, cash disbursements, and cash management.
• Assist in SEC reporting, board packages, and compliance
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management on budgeting, projections, and financial reporting.
• Supervise one senior accountant and maintain cross-departmental relationships.

Qualifications

This individual will have 7+ years of experience, including at least 2+ years of management experience, current or prior public audit experience (preferred), and hold a CPA. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to step into a Controller position.
