Overview

The Senior Data Analytics Practitioner serves a critical role in converting complex and varied data into clear, actionable intelligence that supports informed business strategy. This position focuses on examining large and detailed datasets to detect meaningful trends, relationships, and anomalies that influence organizational planning and performance.

A core function of this role is translating analytical findings into intuitive visual formats. The practitioner will work closely with clients to design dashboards and visual assets that present insights in a way that is easy to interpret and use. In addition, the role involves producing well-structured analytical reports that distill key findings and provide practical, data-backed recommendations for decision makers.

Analytical & Technical Expectations

The successful candidate will bring strong experience with modern data visualization and analytics platforms such as Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools. Proficiency in querying and analyzing data using SQL, along with advanced use of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, is essential. The role also requires hands-on experience with data preparation activities including cleansing, transforming, and organizing large datasets for analysis.

Exposure to predictive analytics, forecasting techniques, or machine learning methodologies is beneficial and can further strengthen the practitioner’s ability to surface future opportunities and emerging trends.

Collaboration & Communication

This position requires the ability to clearly communicate insights to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise. The Senior Data Analytics Practitioner will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating complex analyses into business-focused narratives. Prior experience in business intelligence, analytics, market research, or a related discipline will support success in this role. Required Qualifications

• Ability to successfully complete a federal government Public Trust background investigation
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant analytics experience
• Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL
• Experience using Databricks
• Hands-on experience with Tableau and Power BI
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Experience presenting analytical results through visuals and written reports
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
