We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, Kubernetes/EKS, Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and infrastructure reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, highly available AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
- Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline, and develop automation using programming languages such as Python, Go, and Rust.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Monitor system health, performance, and reliability using Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar tools.
- Implement and maintain security best practices including IAM roles/policies, VPC configuration, encryption, and network hardening.
- Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers to optimize build, deployment, and release processes.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Perform AWS cost optimization, resource utilization planning, and cloud governance improvements.
- Participate in designing and implementing disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency strategies.
- Contribute to DevOps standards, documentation, playbooks, and reusable templates.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience designing and operating AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Shell.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Experience with version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, VPCs, security protocols, and cloud governance.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and production issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience working in hybrid or multi‑cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, secrets management, and security automation.
- Experience with serverless technologies and microservices patterns.
