Sr. Electrical Engineer

About the Role

An R&D company located in Owings Mills, MD is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join their team. Salary: $140K+.

The company specializes in the design, research, and development of electromechanical devices for medical device and defense industries, turning problems into prototypes and prototypes into finished products.

This person will develop electronics & PCBs for embedded systems, solve electrical & software problems, and build medical devices of all kinds.

Typical Responsibilities

• Microcontroller selection
• Power optimization for battery management
• Design for wired and wireless communication/RF
• Analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, PLC's
• Experience working with FPGAs, ASICs
• Creatively apply high-level engineering principles to problems
• Design, build, and test designs with standard equipment
• Perform simulations and detailed analysis of system performance
• Create documentation of design, technical analyses, and test results
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, project managers, and clients

Qualifications

• High level of proficiency with technical engineering concepts
• KiCAD, ALTIUM
• Oscilloscope, PCB analysis & troubleshooting, soldering & PCB rework
• Enjoy tinkering & voiding warranties
• BS or MS Electrical / Computer Engineering 8+ years' experience
• US Citizenship required (NISPOM)

This is an in-person position in Owings Mills, MD.
