Sr. Embedded Avionics Systems SWEs

PROJECT SCOPE:

• An embedded systems software engineer who is a strong individual contributor and enjoys mentoring and coaching teammates.
• You will already have hands-on experience with embedded safety-critical software development in multiple programs in avionics/aerospace or similar field.
• You will bring significant expertise in architecting, designing, and developing embedded systems for safety-critical applications.
• You will be able to contribute to the design and development of avionics software for our fleet of space vehicles and future space vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MSCS/BSCS in Engineering with 4+ years building safety-critical software in avionics/aerospace/DoD, or related in embedded C and C++
• Develop and maintain avionics software applications through the complete software lifecycle using C/C++
• Interface with spaceship pilots and other SMEs to engineer software solutions to vehicle-level issues
• Design software solutions for vehicle-level issues utilizing multiple software subsystems
• 4+ of safety-critical software development programs in avionics/aerospace or a similar field
• Cockpit/Flight Controls Compliance Standards: DO-178, and ARINC 651 Integrated Modular Avionics architecture
• RTOS: VxWorks, Green Hills, etc.
• Communication Protocols: RS232, RS485, CAN Bus and Ethernet
• System-on-Chip (SoC) configuration and integration
• Experience with hardware descriptions languages such as VHDL and Verilog
• Modeling & Simulation: MATLAB and Simulink for modeling and data analysis
• Atlassian software project management suite including JIRA, Bitbucket (Git), Confluence, and Crucible
• Full SDLC, Agile methodologies
