Sr Embedded SW Engineer

Akkodis is recruiting for a Sr Embedded SW Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in the St George, UT area. This is a remote contract position with a pay range of $60 an hour to $80 an hour, depending on experience, education and location.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, test and fielding of IG’s Environment Control System (ECS) embedded software.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug real-time embedded software for Environmental Control Systems (ECS).
• Execute the implementation of SW technical and conformance requirements into functional software products.
• Ensures program mandated software standards and compliance criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting and implementing embedded software solutions on Linux, bare-metal, and RTOS environments.
• Experience with C and C++ design languages.
• Experience with Simulink and/or other controls modeling languages.
• Experience with DO-178C (or equivalent) compliance.
• Experience in the implementation of embedded control algorithms.
• Experience working with communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C…), device drivers, and sensors (Temp, Pressure, Voltage, Current).
• Experience implementation and managing DEVOPS CICD environment.
• Bachelor/Masters degree in Elect Eng, Comp Eng, Comp Science or other relevant engineering discipline.
• Senior Engineer (~5 years experience).
• Proficient in engineering role with a high degree of independence and little additional oversight or guidance.
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
