Role Overview

Position: Senior Engineer I, Technical Writing
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Team: Global Aerospace Engineering

The Senior Engineer I, Technical Writing plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality, complex technical documentation that supports the development, qualification, and lifecycle support of aerospace filtration products.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and release complex aerospace technical documentation including Qualification Test Procedures and Reports, and Component Maintenance Manuals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional global teams to gather technical inputs, interpret customer specifications, and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes, tools, and standard work to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing or in a technical discipline (Engineering, Science, IT or equivalent)
• A minimum of 6‑8 years experience in technical writing or technical documentation within an engineering environment
• Strong ability to analyse customer specifications, Statements of Work, and technical data to define clear, compliant documentation content
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to engineers, management, customers, and external partners in fluent written and spoken English
• Experience working in Aerospace or a similarly regulated industry with structured documentation and configuration management requirements

Preferred Qualifications (It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in)

• Aerospace documentation standards such as ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, or similar structured documentation frameworks
• Leading or mentoring within a technical publications or engineering documentation team
