Sr Finance Analyst

Job Summary

We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support program financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role plays a key part in driving profitability and decision-making by partnering with Program Management teams and delivering insights on financial performance across multiple programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast, budget, and analyze key program metrics (Orders, Sales, Margin, Shipments, Cash)
• Develop and manage Estimates at Completion (EAC) for revenue and margin
• Perform variance analysis against financial targets
• Act as a subject matter expert on program finance processes
• Identify financial risks and opportunities
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships with program, engineering, procurement, and operations teams
• Develop time-phased baselines for cost and schedule tracking
• Monitor material expenditures and labor costs
• Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports
• Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Planning (LRSP)
• Present financial insights to senior leadership
• Support proposal development, audits, and negotiations
• Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and manage financial tracking in ERP systems
• Mentor junior analysts and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of finance analyst experience OR
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defense or aerospace industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to collaborate across multiple functions
