Sr. Full Stack Developer (React/Node)

Introduction

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Developer to architect, design, and build next-generation web applications for a large federal program. You will own end-to-end development across modern front-end frameworks, RESTful microservices, and DevOps pipelines and mentor teammates along the way.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement single-page applications using React.js, Redux, and MobX
• Build and maintain secure RESTful API microservices with Node.js and Express
• Investigate and resolve defects across front-end, business logic, middleware, and database layers
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL
• Support DevOps pipelines using Jenkins, OpenShift, Docker, SonarQube, and UrbanCode
• Ensure UI accessibility compliance with Section 508 / WCAG / USDS standards
• Brief management and customers at appropriate technical levels, written and oral
• Mentor team members on Node.js and React technologies

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master''s + 5 yrs, Bachelor''s + 7 yrs, or 13+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 10+ years in modern software development with hands-on full-stack experience
• Expert-level Node.js and React.js; strong knowledge of Redux, MobX, Flux, Express, and TypeScript
• Experience building RESTful web services, back-end architecture, and working with node module ecosystems
• Proficiency writing and optimizing complex PostgreSQL queries
• Experience managing merge conflicts and upstream/downstream dependencies on large teams
• Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum/Kanban Agile, TDD, BDD, and SAFe
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days per week

Nice to Have

• Experience with testing frameworks: Mocha, Chai, Jest, Sinon, Enzyme, Selenium, and Cucumber
• Familiarity with other JS libraries: Restify, Hapi, Sails, Knex, Axios, Moment, JOI
• Working knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD, Git, Stash, and PR workflows
• Experience with SOLR, Redis, or MQLight
• AWS cloud environment experience
• Knowledge of NGiNX, SonarQube, Phabricator, Gerrit, Karma, and Jasmine
• XML, XSLT, WSDL, and JSON standards experience
