YOUR IMPACT

OpenText is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Environment and Release Management function within Shared Services. This role is responsible for defining and executing strategy, governance, and operational excellence across environment provisioning, lifecycle management, and enterprise release processes.

The ideal candidate will drive standardization and automation to enable scalable, efficient, and low-risk software delivery across the organization. This includes optimizing environment utilization, managing cross-application dependencies (including SAP, SFDC, and other enterprise platforms), and orchestrating complex, multi-system releases with precision and predictability.

Operating within a highly complex, global IT landscape, this role requires strong leadership and coordination across geographically distributed teams and mission-critical systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless delivery, minimizing risk, and enhancing overall system reliability across the enterprise.

What The Role Offers

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant Tech experience (Required)
  • Knowledge of Environment and Deployment Principals & Vendor Management
  • Experienced with building integrated environments from scratch, maintenance, SaaS Upgrades, Data Refreshes and Automation Techniques, including CI/CD
  • Experience leading enterprise release management functions across multiple portfolios
  • Strong knowledge of release orchestration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.)
  • Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices at scale
  • Experience managing complex, multi-system integrated releases and strong understanding of change management and ITIL frameworks
  • Strong strategic problem-solving abilities combined with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across departments in fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Release exposure and SaaS processes, with hands on-experience running complex projects and deliverables.

  • Lead and manage a global team delivering environment and release management services
  • Define and implement enterprise-wide release management strategy, governance, and standards
  • Drive standardization, automation, and process maturity across environments and releases
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies across application, infrastructure, and business teams
  • Provide executive visibility into environment utilization, release readiness, and risk
  • Oversee provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning of non-production environments
  • Optimize environment capacity, availability, performance, and associated cloud/infrastructure costs
  • Drive automation of environment provisioning and refresh processes
  • Ensure environments are audit-compliant, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Manage and optimize cloud and infrastructure costs associated with environments
  • Implement and standardize release automation and CI/CD pipelines
  • Establish and run release calendars across multiple platforms and application domains
  • Ensure release quality, stability, and minimal business disruption
  • Provide executive-level reporting on release health, risks, and performance metrics

Compensation

At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $110,960- $160,960; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
