Position Overview

Current iQ is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering – Client Solutions to lead the technical delivery and engineering oversight of InSite deployments across client environments.

This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, infrastructure technology, and client delivery. The individual will oversee engineering work related to onboarding buildings and portfolios onto the InSite platform, ensuring successful data integration, system connectivity, and performance analytics.

The Senior Director will serve as the technical leader responsible for client-facing engineering execution, managing technical teams, guiding architecture decisions for deployments, and ensuring the InSite platform delivers measurable value to clients.

This role will work closely with product leadership, platform engineering, and client advisory teams at Current iQ to deliver AI-enabled infrastructure insights to large organizations.

Core Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership for Client Deployments

• Lead the engineering delivery of InSite implementations across healthcare systems, commercial real estate portfolios, and infrastructure clients.
• Oversee the technical onboarding of buildings and portfolios onto the InSite platform.
• Ensure successful integration of building systems, operational data, and enterprise platforms.
• Guide engineering teams responsible for deployment, data ingestion, and system connectivity.

Client Engagement & Technical Advisory

• Serve as the senior technical point of contact for client engineering and facilities teams.
• Translate complex infrastructure environments into data-driven digital models within the InSite platform.
• Support executive and operational stakeholders in understanding how InSite enables better infrastructure performance.
• Lead energy engineering field work such as energy audits, measurement and verification of energy efficiency measures and other engineering tasks

Engineering Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor engineers responsible for implementation, data integration, and platform deployment.
• Establish best practices for deployment architecture, documentation, and system configuration.
• Build processes that enable scalable and repeatable platform implementations.

Collaboration with Product & Platform Teams

• Partner with product leadership to inform future platform capabilities based on client deployment experience.
• Provide feedback on data models, AI capabilities, and analytics features needed to support operational decision-making.
• Help align engineering execution with InSite’s long-term platform roadmap.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with practical experience deploying technology across complex infrastructure environments. You are comfortable operating at both engineering depth and client-facing technical leadership levels.

You likely have experience working with:

• Building technology platforms
• Energy management systems
• Building automation systems
• HVAC design principles
• HVAC sequence of operations principles
• Semantic modeling for building system data (Brick / Haystack)
• Infrastructure analytics platforms
• IoT data environments
• Enterprise data integration architectures

Required Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of engineering or technical leadership experience
• Experience integrating building systems, infrastructure systems, or operational data platforms
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, system integration, and platform deployments
• Experience leading engineering teams responsible for technical implementations
• Ability to engage directly with client engineering, facilities, and IT teams
• Experience deploying solutions across multi-site building portfolios
• Professional Engineer (PE) license

Preferred Experience

• Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and operational technologies
• Experience working with IoT platforms, data pipelines, and analytics platforms
• Familiarity with AI or machine learning applications in infrastructure operations
• Experience in healthcare facilities, commercial real estate, or large infrastructure portfolios
• Background in companies focused on building technology, smart buildings, or energy systems
• CEM / CMVP Certification

Within the first year, the Sr. Manager will:

• Successfully lead multiple large-scale InSite platform deployments
• Establish repeatable engineering processes for onboarding buildings and portfolios
• Improve the speed and reliability of data integration and platform configuration
• Build a strong engineering team capable of scaling client deployments
• Ensure clients receive high-quality technical delivery and platform performance
