We are partnered with a leading commercial general contractor in the Washington, DC market that is looking to add a Senior MEP Project Manager to their team. This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced construction professional with a strong background managing large, complex MEP scopes across major commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience overseeing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls packages from preconstruction through turnover, with the ability to lead trade coordination, manage project financials, and drive execution on high-value projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead all MEP scopes from preconstruction through closeout on large-scale commercial construction projects
  • Drive MEP planning, scheduling, procurement, and trade partner coordination
  • Oversee multiple trade partners across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls scopes
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts, constructability issues, and coordination challenges
  • Manage MEP budgets, buyout, forecasting, change orders, and financial reporting
  • Partner closely with ownership, design teams, field leadership, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution
  • Support commissioning, startup, and turnover of all MEP systems
  • Mentor junior project management staff and support overall project leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience managing MEP scopes on commercial construction projects
  • Experience working for a general contractor or managing large mechanical/electrical construction projects with strong cross-trade coordination
  • Proven experience managing MEP packages valued at $20M+
  • Experience overseeing multiple trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire protection, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, project sequencing, and field coordination
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and trade partner relationships
  • Experience with large-scale commercial, healthcare, mission-critical, mixed-use, or institutional construction preferred
