About the Opportunity
Dayforce Wallet is Dayforce’s on-demand pay and financial wellness solution, built to help employees access, manage, and spend their earnings as soon as they are earned - not just on payday. Through the Dayforce Wallet mobile app and Dayforce Wallet Card, employees can view available earned pay, request funds in real time, receive pay on demand to a Dayforce Wallet Card or other supported accounts, monitor balances and transaction history, transfer funds, and access cash through a network of fee-free ATMs. By combining on-demand pay, a prepaid Mastercard-branded pay card, and practical money management tools, Dayforce Wallet supports employees’ financial wellness while advancing our mission to Make Work Life Better™. We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer, iOS to help shape the future of the native iOS experience for Dayforce Wallet. This is a high-impact opportunity to build thoughtful, high-quality mobile experiences that make a meaningful difference in people’s everyday financial lives. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Technical Writing to deliver scalable, reliable, and intuitive solutions. You will contribute to architecture and design decisions, solve complex technical challenges, and help drive engineering excellence across the team. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys building elegant iOS applications, mentoring others, and influencing both product and technical direction in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll get to do
- Design, build, test, release, and support native iOS features across the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop and enhance scalable, enterprise-grade mobile applications for the Dayforce Wallet platform.
- Partner with product owners, stakeholders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into high-quality technical solutions.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions with a focus on performance, scalability, maintainability, and long-term product health.
- Evaluate risks, dependencies, and impacts to existing systems as new capabilities are introduced.
- Collaborate across feature teams to support sprint execution and successful delivery.
- Conduct peer code reviews and help uphold engineering standards, code quality, and architectural consistency.
- Mentor developers and contribute to a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Champion sustainable engineering practices, including testing, maintainability, quality, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrate AI fluency in software engineering by effectively using modern AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve productivity, accelerate problem solving, enhance code quality, and support sound technical decision-making.
Skills and experience we value
- 5+ years of hands-on native iOS development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS development practices.
- Solid knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and mobile development best practices.
- Experience working with JSON and web-based APIs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts verbally and in writing.
- A commitment to building high-quality, maintainable software through sustainable development and testing practices.
- Proven ability to mentor other developers and contribute to team growth.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Strong architectural thinking and the ability to design for both immediate needs and long-term scalability.
- A high degree of ownership for application quality, reliability, and performance.
- The ability to thrive in fast-evolving technical environments and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- AI fluency in software engineering, including the ability to thoughtfully apply AI tools to improve development workflows, engineering efficiency, and technical outcomes.
