About the role:
As the Senior Platform Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering modern cloud platform engineering solutions, with a strong emphasis on consulting, project delivery oversight, and pre-sales support. You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, collaborating with clients, partners, and internal business units to ensure engagements meet both technical and business objectives. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic consulting, contributing to solution design, client advisement, and the development of best practices.
What You'll do: • Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of consulting and hands-on service offerings for platform engineering. • Serve as a cloud-native technical consultant, assessing client business needs and recommending scalable, secure solutions across the cloud and platform engineering ecosystem. • Align solution architectures with industry standards and best practices, working closely with cross-functional engineering and consulting teams. • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to ensure successful delivery of client projects and identify opportunities for continued partnership and service expansion. • Draw upon your consulting experience to establish long-term relationships with client stakeholders and decision-makers, positioning yourself as a trusted technical advisor. • Contribute to the development of internal methodologies and consulting frameworks that enhance service delivery and operational maturity. • Develop and deliver proof of concepts (POCs) that demonstrate the value of proposed solutions and drive client adoption. • Support business development efforts by creating level-of-effort estimates, technical proposals, and statements of work (SOWs). • Provide thought leadership in cloud-native technologies, DevOps, and platform engineering, contributing to internal enablement and market differentiation. • Stay current with advancements in platform engineering, automation, and observability, and integrate emerging technologies into solution strategies. • Maintain enterprise use cases, success stories, and reference architectures to support go-to-market initiatives and consulting offerings.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience. • Proven consulting background, with hands-on expertise in cloud-native, DevOps, and platform engineering • Deep experience with Kubernetes (K8s)and related technologies including EKS, AKS, GKE, and OpenShift. • Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, and Harness. • Experience with observability solutions and OpenTelemetry (OTEL). • Knowledge of developer portals such as BackStage or comparable platforms. • Understanding of Kubernetes operators and tools like Cilium and Crossplane. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer certification preferred. • 5+ years of experience implementing and
