Senior Product Owner

About This Role

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a remote Senior Product Owner job with a key client in the Hospitality Space. If you have seven or more years of experience in information technology application design or development and four or more years as a product owner or product manager, this CONTRACT opportunity could be a great fit for you. In this role, you will manage innovative and emerging products within the Hotel Operations and Guest Service Products Team, collaborating with business partners and engineering teams to maintain a well-groomed product backlog and deliver solid technology roadmaps. You will bring strong leadership skills, a proven ability to drive creative solutions, and comfort working with multiple stakeholders across competing priorities in a highly matrixed environment.

Senior Product Owner Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a well-groomed product backlog of features including refined user stories ready for development, and help define new product features and optimizations to incorporate into product roadmaps
• Support the definition of guest service product requirements, provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, workflows, and wireframes to support development
• Coordinate testing, acceptance, and delivery of enhancements between vendors and business partners, and work with support teams for defect resolution
• Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders inside and outside of the department, keeping up to date on relevant products, systems, and processes
• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve problems quickly, drive data-driven decision making, and manage multiple projects and aggressive timelines simultaneously

Qualifications:

• Seven or more years of experience in information technology application design or development, with four or more years as a product owner or product manager
• Ability to explain product vision, business objectives, and technical feasibility, and drive engineering accountability for technical implementation against defined features and requirements
• Experience with Agile development methodology and tools, and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SmartSheets (CSPO, CSM, or PMI certification a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs, creatively approach solutions, and deliver results under challenging conditions involving complexity, ambiguity, and aggressive timelines
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiating, and problem-resolution skills with success in cross-functional relationship building at all levels
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; familiarity with hospitality industry applications and processes a plus
