As a Product Designer at Uber, you will be focused on not only the functional aspects but also on joy and delight in your designs. Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and top designers and researchers, you will take on interaction and service design challenges, working on groundbreaking ideas to enhance the user experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Learn how to collaborate and use design tools within the Uber Base design system - Design for clarity, inclusion, accessibility, scalability, and global localization - Understand complex business goals and strategies, tech platforms, and contribute to product development and launch processes - Work on projects of varying complexities, leading the roadmap in your product area - Deeply understand user needs through data and research, lead the end-to-end design process, and incorporate feedback from experts - Deliver innovative, buildable, and scalable designs that are well-documented - Prioritize and manage your time efficiently, operating autonomously and adapting to challenges - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, present your work persuasively, and collaborate with your team and other designers
Qualifications Required: - 6 years of experience in building products for mobile apps - Proficiency with Figma or similar design tools and prototyping methods - Experience working in a tech environment - A portfolio showcasing high-quality UI and UX work - A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or related field is preferred - Experience working with user experience researchers and various research methods - Experience in designing experiments or A/B testing - Experience in building design systems and collaborating with engineers on system components
