Roles and Responsibilities
- Serves as technical lead/manager to determine scope and plan/monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and serve as interface to bid management, cost estimation, partners, customers, GE Vernova Product Engineering, procurement, and engineering subcontractors.
- Develops expertise in own discipline. Serves as a resource for best practices/quality. Has knowledge of the latest technical developments in own area. Contributes to strategy and policy development, ensuring execution in own area of responsibility.
- Possesses deep understanding of best practices and how own area integrates with other areas; has a strong grasp of the competition and the factors distinguishing the business in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in operations/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Considers existing solutions from a new perspective. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Serves as a resource to less experienced colleagues. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Develops persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within the specialization.
Basic Qualifications
- This role requires extensive experience. The knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
