Sr QA Tester/Lead

Insight Global is looking for a Sr QA Tester/Lead to join a leading Courier and Logistics company in Mississauga. This role is remote, but requires occasional visits to Mississauga headquarters for project meetings.

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on, and experienced Senior QA Tester who can also lead QA activities for the Enterprise Service Directory (ESD) project. This role requires a strong combination of QA leadership, automation expertise, manual testing experience, enterprise integration testing, database validation, API testing, UI testing, and cross-team coordination.

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently while also coordinating QA efforts across multiple teams and stakeholders. The candidate should be a go-getter, highly accountable, organized, proactive, and capable of handling complex integrations, fast-paced delivery environments, and challenging situations professionally.

This is a hands-on role requiring active involvement in manual testing, automation testing, UI testing, API testing, SQL/database validation, test case creation, defect management, and QA coordination activities. The candidate must be comfortable both leading QA efforts and executing testing activities directly when needed.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in building automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium, RestAssured, and TestNG, along with strong hands-on experience in UI testing, API testing using Postman and REST APIs, and database testing using PostgreSQL and SQL queries. The candidate should also support modern QA practices including AI integration opportunities within Jira and QA processes.

  • Integration testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Agile-Scrum environments
  • Understanding of enterprise and complex system dependencies
  • Strong leadership and mentorship ability (will be overseeing the work of 2 QAs offshore)
  • Ability to work with difficult stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of AI integration with Jira or QA processes is strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating with offshore/onshore teams
  • Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps environments
