About the role

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Development and Solution Delivery

  • Serve as a senior hands-on developer responsible for daily coding, configuration, debugging, and enhancement delivery across the Salesforce platform.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Flow, validation rules, triggers, reports, dashboards, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
  • Build and enhance OmniStudio components, including OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures, to support complex business workflows and user interactions.
  • Participate directly in resolving platform issues involving data integrity, workflow failures, automation errors, reporting issues, integrations, and UI/UX problems.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, administrators, analysts, security personnel, and integration teams to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, integration documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (knowledge of MuleSoft preferred).

Architecture and Technical Leadership

  • Act as the lead technical resource for solution architecture and implementation, but remain actively involved in hands-on development rather than functioning only as a reviewer or manager.
  • Design solutions that align with enterprise requirements for scalability, maintainability, security, performance, and usability.
  • Guide the team on technical direction, coding standards, and best practices while also contributing directly to builds, fixes, and deployments.

Security, Compliance, and DevOps

  • Build and support solutions in alignment with federal security requirements, including NIST, FISMA, and ATO-related controls.
  • Implement secure development practices, role-based security, MFA-aware design, and strong access controls using profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, RBAC, and SSO integrations.
  • Participate in code reviews, vulnerability remediation, deployment readiness checks, and secure release practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, Azure DevOps/Git-based deployments, and structured SDLC compliance.

Preferred AI / Emerging Capability Support

  • Support or help expand Salesforce-related AI capabilities where appropriate, including Salesforce AI features, workflow intelligence, automation accelerators, or AI-assisted user experiences.
  • Candidates with experience in Salesforce AI / Einstein / Agentforce / AI-driven automation / intelligent workflow support are strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • 3+ years of Architect experience
  • At least 3+ years of strong OmniStudio experience, including OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures.
  • Proven experience in a hands-on architect / senior developer role, where the candidate is actively coding and implementing solutions on a daily basis.
  • Strong integration experience with:
    • MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • Enterprise system integrations and middleware
  • Experience with Salesforce AI / Einstein / Agentforce / AI-assisted workflow automation preferred.

Required / Strongly Desired Certifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II required
  • Salesforce OmniStudio Developer strongly preferred
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect required
