Your Impact

Join OpenText as a Sr. Site Reliability Administrator and kickstart your journey in building highly reliable and automated systems! In this hands‑on role, you’ll work closely with senior engineers to support operational stability and drive infrastructure automation. You’ll bridge the gap between software development and network operations, helping to build internal tools and streamline manual processes. This role is perfect for someone passionate about Linux environments, eager to learn, and excited to improve systems through code using Python, Go, or Java—you don’t need to be an expert yet, just ready to make an impact!

What the Role Offers

• Assist in writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks to automate server provisioning and configuration.
• Write scripts and small internal tools using Python (or Go/Java) to help the team move faster.
• Perform basic administration and troubleshooting tasks within our Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) environments.
• Assist in triaging production incidents, debugging errors, and learning how to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Help monitor build and release pipelines to ensure the successful deployment of our applications.
• Receive mentorship from senior engineers on best practices for code reviews, infrastructure management, and cloud technologies.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (Bootcamps and self‑taught developers welcome).
• 2‑3 years of experience in development, sysadmin work, or relevant internships.
• Comfortable using the command line (Bash) and understanding basic file systems and permissions.
• Foundational coding proficiency in at least one language: Python (preferred for automation), Java, or Go.
• Basic familiarity with Git (committing, pushing, pulling).
• Exposure to configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) or orchestration (Kubernetes) and familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts (IPs, HTTP, DNS).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk).

Compensation

• Salary Range: $80,780 – $130,780; depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
• Benefits package that supports physical, emotional, and financial well‑being, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
