About

As a member of the SaaS/IaaS App research team (App connector team) at Netskope, you will be contributing to the development of a cutting‑edge CASB solution that safeguards a multitude of SaaS applications. Your role will involve creating intelligent content for the Netskope App Context Engine to analyze SaaS/IaaS apps and web traffic, enabling features such as DLP, threat scan, encryption, and quarantine. Netskope is seeking dedicated engineers who possess innovation, passion, and self‑motivation to drive impactful technical advancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the complete development life cycle, from researching requirements to defining functional specifications, translating them into robust signatures with high efficacy/quality, and evaluating efficacy based on production data.
  • Analyze the use cases and workflows of enterprise SaaS/IaaS services/solutions, conduct deep packet analysis of app traffic, and develop content aligned with Netskope App Context Engine specifications.
  • Conduct forward‑looking research to create cutting‑edge prototypes addressing emerging challenges in cloud security.
  • Develop necessary tools, preferably in Python/Go, to support research, development, and maintenance of app connectors.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to address customer escalations, enhance signature resilience, and refine testing strategies.
  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of a set of SaaS/IaaS apps, spanning research, content development, testing, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Work closely with product management, testing team, and other stakeholders throughout signature development phases to ensure high‑quality delivery per requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in E/B.Tech/M.Tech from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • 3–7 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Thorough understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocol and web content.
  • Familiarity with web data formats such as JSON, MIME, XML, HTML.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and deep packet inspection.
  • Hands‑on experience with traffic analysis tools like Wireshark or Fiddler.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Python or Go, with a preference for JavaScript.
  • Experience with web automation tools like Selenium.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities.

Additional Skills

  • Experience in IPS/IDS signature development is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is beneficial.
  • Understanding of security products like SWG, web proxies, or cloud security solutions is advantageous.
  • Exposure to big data analytics and machine learning is a plus.
