SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design and implement mission-critical AI/ML and cloud-native systems for federal and defense clients. You'll architect secure, scalable solutions that integrate advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies to support national security objectives in highly classified environments.

What You'll Do

• Architecture Design: Design cloud-native architectures integrating AI/ML capabilities for mission-critical federal and defense applications
• AI Integration: Lead integration of machine learning models, generative AI applications, and advanced analytics into production systems
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government stakeholders, program managers, and technical teams to translate mission requirements into architectural solutions
• Secure Implementation: Implement solutions in GovCloud ecosystems (AWS Secret Region, Azure Government), ensuring compliance with federal security controls and classified data handling requirements
• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring development teams, and driving best practices in AI/ML engineering and cloud architecture

What You Bring

Required

• 6-10 years total experience in solutions architecture, cloud engineering, or related roles
• 3+ years specifically in AI/ML solutions architecture, data engineering, or advanced analytics
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Professional cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent)

Cloud Proficiency

• Hands-on experience with GovCloud ecosystems: AWS Secret Region, Azure Government, or equivalent classified cloud environments
• Cloud-native architectures: microservices, containerization (Kubernetes), serverless, service mesh
• Infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• DevSecOps pipelines and continuous integration/deployment in secure environments

AI/ML & Programming Skills

• Programming proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for AI/ML application development
• Experience with ML frameworks and platforms (TensorFlow, PyTorch, SageMaker, Azure ML)
• Data engineering pipelines and analytics platforms (Spark, Databricks, AWS EMR)
• Model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps practices

Systems & Security

• Linux and Windows systems administration and hardening
• Federal security frameworks: NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF
• Zero-trust architectures and secure data handling for classified environments
• Networking: VPCs, secure connectivity, hybrid cloud architectures
