The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Strategic Projects partners closely with the Head of Enterprise Technology to lead the most critical strategic priorities across the Enterprise Technology business.

This role is not a business operations or PMO role. It focuses on driving enterprise-level strategic initiatives, accelerating decision-making, ensuring disciplined execution, and enabling the leadership team to operate with clarity, alignment, and momentum. The Senior Manager acts as a force multiplier—connecting strategy to outcomes across delivery, talent, and operating model transformation.

Key Outcomes

  • Strategic priorities move from concept to measurable outcomes with speed and rigor
  • Enterprise Technology leadership operates with strong alignment, focus, and execution discipline
  • Portfolio-level initiatives are clearly owned, governed, and unblocked
  • Talent and delivery transformation programs progress consistently and visibly
  • The Head of Enterprise Technology is enabled to focus on high-impact decisions, client engagement, and business leadership

Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives & Priority Execution

  • Lead high-impact, strategic initiatives sponsored by Enterprise Technology.
  • Translate business strategy into clear problem statements, roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics
  • Drive initiatives such as:
    • Delivery and operating model evolution
    • Talent capability uplift, and consulting maturity programs
    • Enterprise-wide transformation initiatives spanning delivery, platforms, and ways of working
  • Maintain momentum across multiple workstreams, proactively removing obstacles and resolving dependencies

Enterprise Governance & Decision Enablement

  • Establish and run enterprise-level governance for strategic initiatives and priority programs
  • Design and manage leadership cadences (monthly, quarterly) focused on decisions, outcomes, and accountability, not reporting
  • Ensure decisions are clearly documented, owned, tracked, and driven to closure
  • Anticipate risks, trade-offs, and escalation points; surface insights and recommendations early

Portfolio-Level Oversight (Strategic Lens)

  • Maintain a strategic view across major initiatives and programs impacting Enterprise Technology
  • Partner with delivery and practice leaders to assess health, interdependencies, and execution risks
  • Ensure transparency and alignment across initiatives without owning day-to-day delivery management

Leadership & Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Act as a connector across Delivery, People & Culture, Finance, and Partner teams to advance strategic priorities
  • Prepare executive-ready materials including strategy narratives, decision briefs, and leadership updates
  • Represent the business leadership team in forums focused on alignment, execution acceleration, or issue resolution

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategy execution, transformation leadership, management consulting, or senior program leadership within technology or enterprise services
  • Proven experience leading ambiguous, multi-stream strategic initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strong ability to structure problems, synthesize information, and drive executive-level decision-making
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior leaders
  • High EQ, sound judgment, and confidence operating with limited direction

Bonus Points

  • Strategic thinker with enablement discipline.
  • Bias for action and simplification of complex issues.
  • Operates comfortably at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and leadership enablement
  • Brings structure, clarity, and momentum without creating bureaucracy
