We are looking for a results‑oriented, creative and highly motivated Sr. Technical Business Analyst to join our team to take on this challenging and exciting role for our new data project. The successful candidate should have a curious mindset, strong business and data engineering skills, passionate for challenges and want to contribute to the success of the Bank; camaraderie is as essential as technical expertise. You will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders (senior level, and subject matter experts) across departments, gain exposure to various systems and build experience with big data and data analytics software.

The Team

The Client Analytics technology team is part of the Global Banking & Markets Engineering supporting Client P&L and performance metrics analytics and reporting. We are working on numerous projects to modernize our analytic platform, enabling our capability and improving our data quality and availability to better manage our client relationships and improve insights into client profitability. This is an opportunity to work with big data and analytics, gaining exposure to various systems and business areas of the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical business/data analyst resource in BAU and projects, providing detailed technical data analysis, testing, investigations, recommendations, program specifications and business requirements for development of technical solutions for the sourcing, delivery, and processing of required monthly/daily data sources within the distributed technical architecture to support client profitability and analytics for wholesale customers.
• Using knowledge of wholesale business products and detailed understanding of Bank source applications, design and build specifications for operationally stable processes that extract, transform, and map raw data to organized/structured schemas for consistent reporting and analytics.
• Support technical peers and collaborate with business partners, data engineers and cross‑functional IT teams to deliver complex, creative, cost‑effective, and robust operationally stable data solutions. This includes development of complex queries against big data required to ensure data are accessible for analytics and reporting, as well as providing oversight of reporting solutions using Tableau and/or other industry‑standard BI tools.
• Provide acceptance testing and verification to help verify complex technical/business solutions for assigned tasks, share results with users for confirmation and sign‑off, and release the solution in the production environment. May be required to perform operational support after hours for late‑hour implementation and operational processes.
• Drive the implementation of new processes, improving methodologies and utilizing cutting‑edge technologies to expedite delivery of new and enhanced products to customers daily. Drive adoption of modern testing approaches and techniques to ensure excellent quality standards while delivering with velocity.

Requirements

• 5‑7 years of experience working in a similar capacity as a BA/BSA
• Recent project experience writing intermediate to advanced queries using SQL
• Python scripting experience is a nice to have
• Agile/Scrum methodology understanding / worked in an Agile environment
• Power BI is a strong asset
• Experience with automated testing
• 3+ years' finance/accounting background (experience with revenue reporting and P&L)
• Fluency in Spanish (Nice to Have)
