Sr Technical Business Analyst (Commercial Finance)

PrecisionIT is seeking a Sr Techno-Functional Business Analyst who has experience with Commercial Finance to work an initial 9‑month contract with one of our clients in Waterloo, ON.
The resource is expected to work hybrid style (3 times per week onsite).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in commercial finance, equipment leasing, floor planning, dealer financing, or related financial services.
• Strong functional knowledge of end-to‑to‑end lending and leasing processes: origination, credit assessment, funding, contract lifecycle, servicing, collections, and end‑of‑term workflows.
• Experience with commercial lending or leasing systems (e.g., loan origination, lease management, credit decision engines, dealer portals).
• Proven ability to simplify and streamline complex financial or operational processes.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for client‑facing workshops, interviews, and design sessions.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting requirements, functional specs, process flows, and interface definitions.
• Experience reviewing and mapping business processes in commercial lending or leasing.
• Familiarity with compliance, risk management, asset tracking, reconciliation, and reporting in commercial finance.
• ASSET: Experience with DataScan/Solifi or similar commercial finance specialist provider.
