Job Overview

The Digital & Technology team drives technology innovation across the organization, focusing on AI/ML, Data Science, IoT, NLP, Cloud, Infrastructure, RPA, Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Blockchain, SAP S/4HANA, and Enterprise Architecture. The team operates in agile pods (MillsWorks) to deliver business value.

Purpose of the Role

The O365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) is accountable for delivery and execution of enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions, with core responsibility for SharePoint, Power Platform, OneDrive, Yammer, and Teams. The SME co‑owns the product roadmap and solution architecture, ensuring consistent adoption of existing and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of Digital Workplace productivity tools by implementing and enhancing Office 365 capabilities, including integration with Teams and SharePoint.
  • Provide technical input to implementation plans (document requirements, size effort, identify dependencies/risks, recommend options).
  • Execute M365 implementation tasks within Azure Cloud, following security and compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain and improve day‑to‑day operational health for M365 technologies (troubleshooting, upgrades/patching, cross‑platform integrations).
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Legal, and Records teams to meet control requirements and resolve technical blockers.
  • Communicate technical options clearly, follow policies/procedures, and deliver against tight timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

80 % – Platform Engineering, Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Design and deliver complex O365/M365 solutions; lead workstreams on transformational programs.
  • Configure, administer, and maintain the Office 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Azure AD, Power Platform).
  • Build and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell) to improve reliability and speed of delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Full‑time graduation from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in Azure and/or Office 365 are preferred (supported by the organization).

Experience Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT with increasing technical leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record leading Microsoft 365 or comparable cloud collaboration platform initiatives in large, complex organizations.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 workloads (SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Teams) with working knowledge of the broader ecosystem.
