Job Details

• Location: Iselin NJ
• Domain Experience: Candidate should be from BFSI
• Focus: 80% strategic presentations of Automation GTM strategies and 20% Technical
• Requirements: Presentation skills to speak to CIOs on 3-4 different LOBs in an Enterprise Bank.

Responsibilities

• Define Automation Strategies in Banks
• Coach a team
• Automation road map
• Act as an Automation Expert to convince CIOs on the execution phase
• Manage 1 or 2 engineers onsite and about 20 offshore engineers
• Oversee close to 1000 Apps across the LOBs
• Review code and stay updated on the latest technologies
• Lead Automation SRE, responsible for end-to-end Self-Healing automation solutions to reduce manual effort/TOIL.
• Collaborate with Production support team to identify and automate existing manual activities.
• Identify toil areas for automation to avoid manual intervention.
• Build Monitoring systems and observability platforms for enhanced stack traces and dashboards.
• Define and implement SLA, SLO, and SLI for better monitoring.
• Focus on scalability, reliability, and observability to reduce MTTD and MTTR.

• Primary Skills: Python, Ansible, Observability, SRE
• Secondary Skills: Shell Script, Linux, Monitoring tools (Splunk, AppD, Grafana, ITRS, etc.)

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in leading Automation SRE teams.
• Advanced working experience with two or more of the following: Unix/Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with Python, Java, Curl scripting or any other types of scripting.
• Experience with two or more of the following observability tools: AppDynamics, Big Panda, Elastic Search (ELK), Google Cloud Logging, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Thousand Eyes.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and event detection on Cloud or Distributed platforms.
• Experience working with one or more of the following: AutoSys, CRON, Windows Scheduler or other logical batch schedulers.
• Ability to provide technical direction regarding monitoring and logging to less experienced staff or develop highly complex original solutions. Act as an Expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
• Experience creating and modifying technical documentation such as environment flow, functional requirements, and nonfunctional requirements.
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives.
• Technical operations application support experience.
• Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in SRE implementation of monitoring system development for application reliability using Splunk, Grafana, App Dynamics, Big panda.
• Experience in a completely On-Prem environment.
• Proven ability to reduce toil issues and enhance system reliability and scalability.
