SSEII Agentic Search/Data Engineer Senior (H/F)

About the Role

This position involves complex software research, design, and development within a functional domain or software product line. It also includes direct contribution to project plans, schedules, and methodologies used for cross-functional software product development.

This function includes software design – typically across multiple systems – mentoring more junior team members, and communicating with users or clients to translate their needs into technical solutions.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong proficiency in data manipulation languages, including optimization techniques.
• Good understanding of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles.
• Solid knowledge of several data storage subsystems.
• Expertise in development languages, including: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of industry best development practices.
• Knowledge of using and developing appropriate software tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other technical experts or team members to finalize requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external technical resources.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Ability to write and revise detailed specification sections for the development of complex system components.
• Ability to fix complex bugs.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other technical or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and revise parts of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
• Fix complex bugs.
• Work closely with other members of the development team to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Effectively implement development processes, good coding practices, and code reviews.
• Work in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve complex technical problems as needed.
• Train junior software engineers, as directed by management, to ensure their understanding of essential aspects of their role.
• Stay informed about new technologies.
• Design and manipulate complex data models.
• Mentor less experienced software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
• Perform any other assigned tasks.
