OUR MISSION
Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a luxury private game reserve in the Northern Cape for an experienced Stable Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled equestrian professional to manage the care, training, and welfare of horses while supporting guest riding experiences in a luxury safari environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Stable Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stables, ensuring the highest standards of animal care, and coordinating guest-facing equestrian activities. You will lead a team and maintain the integrity of the facilities in a prestigious, remote location.
MAIN DUTIES
Key deliverables for this position include:
- Animal Care & Training: Oversee the daily care, feeding, grooming, and exercise of all horses; develop and implement training programs for horses and riders; and assist with breeding, veterinary care, and farrier schedules.
- Operations & Management: Supervise and manage stable staff; maintain stables, paddocks, and associated facilities in excellent condition; and manage inventory of feed, equipment, and supplies.
- Guest Experience & Safety: Coordinate guest riding activities ensuring safety and exceptional experiences; ensure compliance with health and safety standards for both horses and staff; and maintain records of horse health and training progress.

REQUIREMENTS

- Personal Attributes: Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure in a remote environment, a valid driver’s licence, and a flexible approach to working hours.
