About the role

Staff Accountant

This role supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across a multi‑location organization. The Staff Accountant works closely with finance and HR leadership to ensure accurate forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting related to payroll, vendor programs, and working capital.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts for payroll, headcount, and people‑related costs
  • Support forecasting and reporting for vendor rebates, claimbacks, and special pricing programs
  • Analyze AP and AR activity as well as cash flow impact by location
  • Perform monthly and quarterly budget‑to‑actual variance analysis and explain key drivers
  • Assist with management reporting related to rebates, working capital, and CAPEX
  • Serve as backup support for payroll, AP, or AR processing as needed
  • Participate in headcount planning, benchmarking, and industry surveys
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and data accuracy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a mid‑to‑large organization or public accounting
