Staff Accountant

About the role

We are a growing wholesale distribution company seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing vendor and customer accounts, and contributing to monthly and quarterly reporting cycles across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple business entities
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, payment runs, and collections follow-up
• Prepare and monitor cash flow reports; analyze cash position and flag variances to management
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for external vendors, suppliers, and service providers
• Prepare monthly financial reports and participate in management review meetings
• Support quarterly and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entry review
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and multi-entity budget consolidation
• Process and reconcile payroll; coordinate with HR on employee changes and deductions
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal compliance reviews
