About the role

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an entry-level professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial operations. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day financial tasks, maintain accurate records, and assist with reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Review invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals.
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Invoice compilation (working with operations to accurately compile appropriate billings based on contract specifications).
  • Provide support to the senior finance manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress).
  • 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (desired)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting software (SAP experience preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
