About the role
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an entry-level professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial operations. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day financial tasks, maintain accurate records, and assist with reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
- Review invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Invoice compilation (working with operations to accurately compile appropriate billings based on contract specifications).
- Provide support to the senior finance manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress).
- 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (desired)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (SAP experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
