Job Details
We are seeking a General Litigation Attorney to join our growing team in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience and willing to practice in multiple areas from general business and employment to insurance coverage.
Responsibilities
- Represent our diverse clientele in all stages of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appeal.
- Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to determine potential legal claims.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of our clients.
- Engage in dispute resolution processes such as mediation or arbitration.
- Manage and oversee paralegals and junior attorneys.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, court decisions, and other legal developments that may affect our clients.
- Provide advice and counsel to clients regarding their legal rights and obligations.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances and objectives.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Pennsylvania state bar.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, preferably with trial experience.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- A high degree of professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
