Staff Data Engineer

Job Description

Lead the design, development, and architecture of scalable software and data engineering solutions for the client.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement complex software systems and applications
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure system stability
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements
• Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10 years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with React, Angular, Django, or Flask
• Experience with API frameworks such as Spring Boot or Express
• Strong SQL and database design/optimization experience
• Strong application architecture and design pattern knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud experience
• Infrastructure as Code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bamboo
• Agile or Scrum experience

Nice-to-Haves:

• Master's degree
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
