We're searching for a dedicated Staff Engineer to serve as a key leader in developing advanced navigation solutions that redefine what’s possible in avionics.

Your Role:

As a Navigation Systems Engineer, you will: • Lead the design, development, integration, and validation of state-of-the-art navigation solutions for aerospace applications. • Define and enhance navigation system architectures such as GNSS, INS, and Sensor Fusion methodologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and program management, to ensure alignment of technical solutions with program objectives. • Utilize DOORS or similar tools to capture, trace, and verify system requirements, ensuring compliance with military standards and client specifications. • Contribute significantly to system design and requirements development, ensuring all components meet customer and program criteria. • Actively engage in identifying and resolving technical defects at both software and system levels to ensure mission reliability.

Location: This position is based in Owego, NY.

Clearance Requirement: You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).

Basic Qualifications: • Experience in navigation systems (e.g., EGI, GPS, IFF, etc.) and systems engineering (architecture, verification). • Ability to integrate and test both hardware and software components. • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field. • Must meet clearance requirements for the Department of Defense.

Desired Skills: • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. • Understanding of RF principles and antenna design. • Leadership qualities with mentoring capabilities. • Experience with MATLAB and relevant communication standards. • Knowledge of civil certification regulations (e.g., FAA, ICAO). • Current active Secret clearance is a plus.
