About the role
About
Luxury Presence is building an AI growth platform for real estate, serving over 87,000 real estate professionals. The company is backed by top investors and is on track to reach $100M in annual recurring revenue. As a Staff Frontend Engineer you will be the technical authority for a React‑based micro‑frontend architecture that powers thousands of real estate businesses.
Responsibilities
- Own frontend platform architecture, leading the technical direction of the React micro‑frontend platform built on single‑spa.
- Make critical decisions about module federation, code splitting, and scaling the frontend across a growing product surface.
- Drive the design system forward, shaping the evolution of a Radix + Tailwind CSS component library and ensuring a tight Figma‑to‑code pipeline.
- Lead migration from legacy UI libraries (Material‑UI, styled‑components) to a modern Tailwind‑based design system, defining strategy and pacing the transition.
- Ship AI‑native product experiences by delivering intelligent frontend features that leverage LLMs, agent frameworks, and real‑time data.
- Define frontend engineering standards, including Storybook‑driven development, Vitest testing patterns, Biome linting rules, and bundle size budgets.
- Mentor and elevate engineers across the organization, raising the frontend bar, coaching through design challenges, and influencing career growth.
Requirements
Attributes
- Build with AI daily, using Claude Code as a core part of your workflow.
- Hold strong, loosely‑held opinions about how AI changes software architecture, team structure, and engineering culture.
- Think in systems, connecting technical decisions to customer outcomes and long‑term business value.
- Communicate clearly and directly, explaining complex trade‑offs to product, design, and executive stakeholders.
- Thrive in ambiguity and speed, enjoying fast‑growing environments where roadmaps evolve and ownership is real.
- Enjoy a fun work culture that balances serious craftsmanship with humor and collaboration.
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or staff‑level frontend roles.
- Deep expertise in React 18/19, TypeScript, and modern component architecture (hooks, compound components, render props, forwardRef).
- Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale—component libraries, design tokens, theming, and Figma‑to‑code workflows.
- Strong command of Tailwind CSS, utility‑first styling, and CSS custom properties for token‑driven theming.
- Hands‑on experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client—federation, codegen, cache management, and fragment composition.
- Proven track record leading large‑scale frontend migrations without disrupting production.
- Experience with micro‑frontend architectures (single‑spa, module federation, or equivalent) and monorepo tooling (Turborepo, pnpm workspaces).
- Deep understanding of frontend performance—code splitting, tree‑shaking, bundle analysis, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals.
- Familiarity with accessible component development (WCAG, Radix UI, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation).
- Experience with modern frontend testing: Vitest/Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, and Storybook‑driven development.
