Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Designer who is passionate about developing new, conceptual solutions for real user problems and is eager to help develop the next generation of student-friendly, AI-supported learning features. These are your tasks in detail:

  • As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for redesigning our learning platform on web and mobile – with a focus on a simple, intuitive, and motivating user experience that is optimally adapted to children aged 6 to 14. You will report directly to our VP of Content & Product Experience.
  • Together with your peers from Product, Education, and Tech, you will conceptualize adaptive and AI-supported learning features and user flows that are effective and solve real student problems with fun.
  • You will work on a project basis with other designers and creatives and regularly exchange ideas with our Team Lead Illustration and Design.

Requirements

Product & UX Design:

  • Several years of experience in designing digital products (web and mobile) with responsibility for UX concepts, user flows, and interface design.
  • Experience in close collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, and Stakeholders in discovery and delivery phases, as well as the ability to clearly justify and communicate design decisions.

Feature & Product Concept Thinking:

  • Experience in developing new product features from problem definition through user journeys and interaction concepts to validatable prototypes.
  • Experience in exploring solution spaces together with Product Management, developing different conceptual approaches, and evaluating them in a structured manner.

Ability to Simplify Complex Products:

  • Demonstrable ability to translate complex platforms or feature sets into clear, intuitive, and easy-to-understand user experiences.
  • Strong sense of information architecture, feature structuring, and prioritization of user needs.

Strong Engagement & Interaction Design:

  • Experience in designing interactive and motivating user experiences that guide, activate, and retain users long-term.
  • Very good skills in UX conception, wireframing, high-fidelity design, and prototyping for the development and validation of solutions.

Language Skills:

  • Fluent English skills, German skills are a plus.

Tool Skills:

  • Experience with modern design and prototyping tools (especially Figma).

Optional:

  • Experience with personalized or AI-supported interfaces.
  • Experience with platform or product redesigns.
  • Experience with learning, children's, or consumer products.
  • Experience with gamification or motivation design.
