Our client, a rapidly growing REIT, is seeking a Staff Property Accountant to join its expanding team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the accounting and financial operations of a growing industrial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate has hands‑on property accounting experience and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. ***Hybrid work schedule

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting functions for assigned properties within the fund’s portfolio.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, and property‑level financial reporting.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accruals, and other balance sheet items.
  • Support accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure accuracy of tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and lease‑related accounting.
  • Collaborate with asset management and property management teams to provide timely and accurate financial information.
  • Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property or real estate accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software is a plus.
