DisruptiX Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing, operationally complex organization in Costa Mesa, CA on a Staff / Senior Accountant opportunity. This is a hands-on role built for someone who wants real ownership of the close process and exposure to the business.
The accounting team is continuing to expand due to growth and increased operational complexity, creating an opportunity to join a collaborative group with strong visibility and long-term upside.
Position Overview
The Staff / Senior Accountant will support and/or own key aspects of the month-end close and financial reporting across a multi-entity environment. This role works closely with operations and leadership, helping ensure accurate reporting while identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
This position can flex based on experience — whether you’re stepping into a strong Staff role looking to grow or coming in at the Senior level ready to take ownership.
Core Responsibilities
- Support and/or own month-end close activities (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with inventory and COGS-related accounting processes
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Prepare and file sales & use tax returns, including reconciling liabilities, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions, and resolving notices or discrepancies as needed
- Support audit preparation and PBC requests
- Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting
- Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to investigate variances
- Contribute to process improvements and increased efficiency within accounting workflows
What They’re Looking For
Hard Skills
- Experience with month-end close (ownership level varies by seniority)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Strong reconciliation and balance sheet experience
- Exposure to inventory, manufacturing, or operational accounting is a plus
- ERP system experience (NetSuite, Oracle, D365, or similar)
- Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
Soft Skills
- Self-starter with strong ownership mentality
- Comfortable in evolving, fast-paced environments
- Able to communicate with non-accounting teams
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
- Willing to be hands-on and contribute where needed
Requirements
- 2–8+ years of accounting experience (level dependent)
- Experience supporting or owning month-end close
- General ledger and account reconciliation experience
- ERP system experience
- Strong Excel skills

- Audit support experience
- Multi-entity or mid-market environment
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives

Compensation
- Target salary: $75,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience/level)
