About the Role
C‑K Control Temp is seeking a Strategic Account Manager responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with very visible key commercial and light industrial clients within the HVAC/ Professional Mechanical Services Industry. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and positioning the company as a trusted partner for all systems, maintenance, and energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with strategic accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high‑value HVAC clients
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Collaborate with internal teams (Service, Construction) to deliver tailored HVAC solutions
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development
- Monitor project execution and ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Analyze client needs related to energy efficiency, system performance, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and account performance metrics
- Seek ou new sales opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and following up on company‑provided leads.
- Initiate contact with potential customers via phone, email, and in‑person meetings.
- Conduct on‑site visits to assess existing systems, identify customer needs, and determine desired outcomes.
- Explain the features and benefits of the company's products and services, addressing any customer concerns.
- Present clear, accurate, and detailed proposals, contracts, and sales agreements.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to secure sales.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Ensure a seamless transition for customers by coordinating with installation and service teams.
- Strong collaboration with Operations and Leadership Teams.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and the sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new products, and competitors to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and networking events.
- Strive to consistently meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, related field and / or equivalent years of experience in a similar role (at least 8+ years)
- Understanding of HVAC systems, products, and services is required to assist customers effectively.
- Minimum of 10 years of HVAC selling experience.
- Strong sales skills, including prospecting, presentation, and negotiation abilities, are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills, to build trust and rapport with customers.
- Candidates should be self‑motivated, results‑oriented, highly organized, and possess excellent time management skills.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are often required for on‑site client visits.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- 50%-day Travel in NJ required.
