About the role
Minimum Requirements BSc or BEng in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (Non-negotiable) 2 to 5+ years’ experience in: o Warehouse automation o Logistics systems o Materials handling solutions o Industrial engineering solutions sales o Re Engineering and Consulting Engineering Proven track record of selling engineered solutions (not just products)- ideal Experience of engaging with senior-level decision-makers (GM’s, MD’s, Plant Managers) Own reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license
Strategic Business Development Identify high-value opportunities within warehouse and logistics sectors. Engage at executive level to understand operational pain points and strategic objectives. Develop tailored automation and materials handling solutions.
Technical Solution Development Conduct site assessments and workflow analysis. Conceptualise system designs and engineered solutions. Develop and present: o PowerPoint presentations o 3D modelling drawings Simulation models or video demonstrations Work closely with engineering and operations teams to validate feasibility and costing.
Executive-Level Presentations Present complex technical solutions confidently to senior stakeholders. Demonstrate ROI, efficiency gains, and operational impact. Lead solution discussions, handle objections, and close high-value deals.
Commercial Management Prepare detailed proposals and cost models. Negotiate commercial terms. Maintain strong sales pipeline and forecast accuracy.
Technical Competencies Strong understanding of: o Warehouse layout optimization o Conveyor systems o Automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) o Lift and materials handling equipment o Industrial battery solutions Ability to interpret technical drawings and create solution concepts Financial acumen — ROI modelling and cost-benefit analysis Strong PowerPoint and presentation capability
