Responsibilities

As a Strategy M&A Analyst, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Build and challenge complex financial models (P&L, cash flows, projected balance sheets, scenarios, stress-tests) for strategic projects and external growth operations.
  • Contribute to the group's energy transition roadmap and the evaluation of large-scale investment plans.
  • Produce market analyses, competitive benchmarks, and profitability studies to inform Executive Committee decisions.
  • Participate in the execution of M&A operations: screening, valuation, business plans, investment memos, due diligence participation, and post-acquisition integration support.
  • Prepare structured and impactful presentations for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, synthesizing analyses and recommendations.
  • Continuously improve long-term models (group business plan), performance monitoring tools, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (finance, operational, legal teams, external advisors...) throughout cross-functional projects.
  • Actively contribute to strategic planning exercises and monitor the execution of action plans.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate profile:

  • Graduate of a top business or engineering school.
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategy consulting at a leading firm, with significant exposure to financial topics (M&A, market modeling, business plans, valuation, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, ability to produce robust quantitative analyses and clear, impactful presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
  • Strong ambition for rapid progression to broader responsibilities within the department, and eventually within an Executive Committee.
