Stress Engineer Aviation (m/f/d)

Salary: CHF105'000 - 120'000

Role: In this position, you will be responsible for the analysis and substantiation of structural and strength properties in the aviation environment. You will work at the interface of engineering, testing, and certification, ensuring that all relevant requirements for approval are met. You will be in close contact with internal departments and aviation authorities.

Responsibilities:

• You will create necessary substantiation documents for the certification authority.
• You will plan, conduct, and evaluate structural tests for static and dynamic strength as well as vibration behavior.
• You will create analyses using FEM, hand calculations, and qualitative comparisons.
• You will support the Design department in the layout and development of new constructions regarding mechanical properties.
• You will conduct technical consultations and negotiations with aviation authorities.
• You will support department and division management with technical questions and projects.

Qualifications:

• You have a technical degree as an aeronautical or mechanical engineer.
• You have experience in applying the FE method (e.g., Femap, NX Nastran).
• You have several years of experience in structural testing (static and dynamic).
• You have demonstrable knowledge of aviation regulations and the relevant approval requirements for aircraft and helicopters.
• You have experience in the design and certification of aviation products.
• You have very good English skills and ideally good German skills.
