Structural Design Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Structural Design Project Manager to lead and oversee complex structural engineering projects from conception through completion. This pivotal role combines technical expertise in structural engineering with exceptional project management capabilities and strategic communication skills. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between clients, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As a Structural Design Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and making critical decisions that impact project outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

• Lead and manage structural design projects from initial client consultation through final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, milestone tracking, and risk management strategies
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration and execution
• Monitor project progress through regular site visits, team meetings, and progress reports, implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial forecasts and reports for senior management and clients
• Oversee the preparation and submission of project deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout project execution
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges proactively

Structural Engineering Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and expertise on structural design principles, materials selection, and construction methodologies
• Review and approve structural calculations, design drawings, and specifications prepared by engineering team members
