Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including federal and state contracts, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Providing expert advice on contractual matters to the project team, highlighting any potential risks or issues.
  • Managing contract execution processes and ensuring all contracts are correctly implemented and adhered to.
  • Conducting regular contract reviews and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and legal advisors, to ensure smooth contract processes.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry trends that may impact contracts.
  • Providing training and guidance to team members on contract processes and best practices.
  • Resolving any contract-related disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state contracts.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Contract Management or a related field will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex contractual terms and conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and devise effective solutions.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of the construction industry and its regulatory environment.
